Since protecting your personal data is especially important to us, we inform you below about the most important aspects of data processing within our website.
1.1.1. Purpose of Processing
The data is processed and stored for the purpose of operating an informative and representative website.
1.1.2. Duration of Storage
The data will be deactivated and locked or permanently deleted after the purpose has ceased or upon the request of the data subject, provided that there are no legal retention periods that contradict this.
1.1.3. Legal Basis of Processing
The data is published as part of our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive presentation of our company and thus offer users the best possible service.
1.1.4. Categories of Data
We process personal data in the form of website content, images, possibly moving images, logos, and free text, as well as the data of each visitor using the contact form.
1.1.5. Categories of Recipients
The data is made available to each user of the website, including consumers and entrepreneurs. Data provided via the contact form is transmitted to the responsible party for processing the request.
1.1.6. Source of Data
The data comes from the responsible party mentioned in the imprint and possibly from the respective users.
1.2. User Liability
All users are obligated to comply with laws, especially data protection laws, and to hold the operator of this website harmless and free of claims in this regard. The use of contact data published in the imprint obligation by third parties for sending unsolicited advertisements and informational materials is explicitly prohibited. The website operator expressly reserves the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising information, such as spam emails. The use of this website does not require the provision of personal data such as name, address, or email address. We only collect and store this data if you voluntarily provide it to us (e.g., when subscribing to a newsletter).
1.3. Social Networks
Social media plugins (such as the use of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram social plugins):
Our website uses social plugins ("plugins") from social networks. When you access a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of Facebook, Google, Twitter, or Instagram. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from the respective provider to your browser and integrated into the page. By integrating the plugins, the providers receive the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile or are not currently logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a server of the respective provider. For more information on how data is used, please refer to the privacy policy of the respective network.
1.4. Videos
On our website, we offer you the option to view YouTube videos directly through iframe embedding. By clicking on a video, you give your consent according to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Through this process, the service provider Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, can collect personal data from you for the duration of playing the respective video. We do not process or store the aforementioned data. Your consent remains valid until you leave the respective website and is not stored.
The Google privacy policy can be found at: Google Privacy Policy.
1.5. Google Fonts
This page implements external fonts, known as "Google Fonts." The embedding of these web fonts is done through a server call, which in this case is the technical service provider's own server, where the web fonts are stored.
1.6. Contact Form
When you contact us via the contact form on our website or by email, your provided data will be stored by us and temporarily by our technical service provider for three months to process the request and for any follow-up questions. These data will not be shared with third parties. The legal basis for data processing is the user's consent according to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, for data processed during the transmission of an email, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If the email contact aims to conclude a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies.
1.6a. reCAPTCHA
To protect the contact forms on our site, we use the reCAPTCHA service from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). The query serves to distinguish whether the input is made by a human or abusively by automated, machine processing. It includes sending the IP address and any other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google. For this purpose, your input is transmitted to Google and further processed there. Google uses the obtained information to digitize books and print products, update services such as Google Street View and Google Maps.
These data are subject to the differing data protection provisions of Google, which can be found at Google Privacy.
1.7. Applications
If you apply for a job via the contact form on our website or by email, the personal data you provide will be temporarily stored to verify your application and during the subsequent selection process. The processing of data is mandatory and thus necessary for participation in the application process. If you have consented to keeping your data on record, the data will be used for the aforementioned purposes for another six months. Afterward, your data will be permanently deleted. The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent to the use of data at any time via email to office@qmisoft.com. Afterward, your data will be permanently deleted.
1.8. Google Maps™ Mapping Service
The Google Maps™ mapping service is used on this website in accordance with the Google Maps Terms of Service and the Google Services Terms of Service. We note that inaccuracies and errors in the maps cannot be avoided and do not constitute a defect, as they are an approximation to reality.
1.9. EU-US Data Privacy Framework
Since the "Standard Contractual Clauses" (SCC) have been replaced by the so-called "EU-US Data Privacy Framework," which came into force on July 10, 2023, the transfer of personal data to the USA is now essentially permitted under the same mechanisms as its predecessor, the "Privacy Shield." Therefore, if a US company is certified under the "EU-US Data Privacy Framework," it establishes an adequate level of data protection according to European data protection laws. As a result, personal data can be transferred from Europe to this company without the need for additional guarantees pursuant to Article 46 GDPR. A search register of US companies certified under the DPF can be found at Data Privacy Framework Participant Search.
